Data Golf Points
UPDATED —
DG Points are our best attempt at grading performances according to finish position and tournament quality. Unlike strokes-gained averages, which value every round equally, DG Points reward high finishes and wins disproportionately. This makes them better suited to evaluating seasons and careers, which are shaped by a player’s best results. Read more about DG Points here.

DG Points Ranking Methodology
Players are ranked based on their average decayed DG Points over the last two years (104 weeks). Weeks 1-13 receive their full point values, after which point values decay by an equal amount each week (1.1%) until they are worth 0 in week 104. This is the same decay rate used by the OWGR.

For players who have played more than 52 times in the last two years, only their most recent 52 events count toward their ranking. For players with less than 35 events played, their decayed point total is divided by 35 (the minimum divisor). For more details on the ranking, visit our FAQ.
