Wyndham Clark played some fantastic golf and did not deserve his 1-4 record. Cameron Young and the Internationals’ Korean trio all balled out and will rightfully be remembered as the best players of this Cup.

The American depth really comes through looking at how many Americans land above Internationals in the middle of the pack.

If you look at this chart and think Nico Echavarria wasn’t that much worse than everyone else, remember that strokes gained in this table are cumulative and he reached the bottom in just two matches.

According to our model, the International team became favorites Friday afternoon and, despite some back and forth, were narrow favorites as late as 3PM today. I’ll certainly remember this Cup for their valiant effort and the questions brought upon the American team, even if the US pulled through in the end.
