Rankings Update

Jon Rahm's second consecutive win vaults him past a sleeping Rory McIlroy to the top of the DG Rankings. McIlroy is finally making his 2023 debut in Dubai this week, while Rahm heads to Torrey Pines—a place he has won twice before—looking for a 5th win in his last 7 worldwide starts. They aren’t directly competing, but Rahm and Rory might be keeping an eye on each other as the week progresses.

Victor Perez's win in Abu Dhabi last week places him firmly within the 2023 Ryder Cup conversation. The Frenchman is now 2nd on the European Ryder Cup points list despite some lackluster strokes-gained numbers.

Rahm Threat

Jon Rahm has been on an absolute heater since last summer. In early August Rahm was sitting 8th in our rankings, sandwiched between Matt Fitzpatrick and Justin Thomas. Ten starts, 9 top-10s, and 4 wins later—a stretch during which Rahm averaged +3.06 true strokes-gained per round—he's now number 1.

This got us thinking: what are the best 10-event stretches, measured by strokes-gained per round, since 2004? Here are the top 11, where each player can only be included once:
